I know you will enjoy owning this patch because this patch & several others (see my other Antarctica related patches) have only been made available to those of us, who have been lucky enough to step foot and work on Antarctica. Many of us went to Antarctica via the military (Operation High Jump, VX6, VXE-6, and now the 109th Airlift Wing) but many have also made it to Antarctica via civilian contracts and with the National Science Foundation (U.S. Operated Antarctic Programs).  There are many other countries that have their research station(s) on the continent for scientific purposes besides the United States. So, I guess these patches do have a collectors value knowing there is no where else that these patches can be found. These patches are left overs from orders that went unpaid for and unclaimed from people who have been to Antarctica. Once these patches are all gone, that's it, they're gone!
