My dad was born in the 1960s with a rare birth defect, Omphalocele, due to my grand dad's exposure to agent orange while working on helicopters during the Vietnam War. My dad was born with most of his organs outside his body and was one of the first to survive from that.
Despite having many major surgeries, my dad had a 30+ year career in radio, including a few years he spent overseas entertaining our military troops. But now that he is in his 50s, he is having lots of medical and dental issues from all the surgeries he has had and complications from the birth defect too.
