It features Edgar Küng's artwork of the town and mountain with people enjoying many activities. Born in 1926, Edgar Küng grew up during the 1950s and was inspired by the artistic culture of the time. Abstract Expressionism, a form of painting that studied notions of spirituality and the sublime, dominated the 1950s. Many artists focused on the formal properties of painting, and action painting was influenced by the political freedom of the United States, as opposed to the strict nature of the Soviet bloc.
