  • Condition: This Platter or low compote is about two nicks away from perfection. There are two tiny nicks: one near the edge of the center which is less than a 1/2 inch. The other is a knife mark on the very edge of the Platter.Otherwise at least in excellent condition

    Description

    This sale is for a high quality platter or low compote which is 9 inches wide. The platter stands
    about 1 1/4 inches tall. The platter is in excellent condition but does have two very tiny knife marks.
    One is located on the very edge of the bowl and is very tough to see. There is also a 1/2 inch
    knife mark near the centers edge. The platter was lightly used, then put away for a long period of time. Tarnish had built up for some time. There is some light tarnish in the pierced area. These
    issues are pointed out for clarity. The platter is not mint, but it is close. The platter weighs 190
    grams or about 6 Troy ounces. The hallmarks are clear on the bottom of the foot or pedestal,
    which is about 4 inches wide. A few light scratches near the center of the bowl. There is a
    very light engraving of the letter ‘N’ at center. An easy removal for most any jeweler. A lovely
    silver antique ready for display or a nice center piece for your next gathering.
