    Description

    VTG Mid-Century TOWLE STERLING #09 Hot Plate/Trivet Atomic Starburst "Awakening".
    This Towle Midcentury-modern Sterling silver Trivet has a star pattern wrapped over a bakelite base with three post legs. I have not polished the piece so the buyer can choose to do so however method they like.
    The original sticker is on the bottom and on the side is stamped “SterlingTowle 09” for sterling silver with the 09 the product or style number.
    The trivets design was featured in the Dallas Museum of Art of Modernism in American Silver 20th Century Design as being a popular design for the times with a contemporary loop and dot design.
    The designer was Marion Anderson Noyes.
    Excellent condition, with some minor wear as shown in pictures. Beautifully made and designed Mid Century Modern piece. Great decor piece!
    MEASUREMENTS:
    Approx 1/4” THICK by 6 3/8” ROUND. These measurements do not include the thickness of the base/feet.
    With the FEET included the thickness is 3/8”
